Day 361: Baby Seat

We sold Carolina's baby seat to parents who will have use for it soon.
Thank you and safe travels!

Day 342-348: Diapers

As we practiced Elimaination Communication with Carolina and also used cloth diapers, we only used disposable diapers for travelling on planes. We never got through package number two in Carolina's first two years. So this week a nearly full pack of diapers was given to a toddler you can still use it.

Thanks for making travelling easy
and Goodbye!

Day 328-341: Decluttering in Bulks

Recently Clara's desk had risen to new heights.

And also the rest of her room was so uninviting,
that she prefered spending time outside of her room.
Yesterday was a cold and rainy Sunday and we decided to go for it. Favourite technique -
emptying all the surfaces and cupboards and putting it all on the floor.

Clara was convinced she was the kid in her class with the most things
and she doesn't need anything more.
Every item on the floor has to be picked up and then decided upon -
keep and then find a place for it or throw away.

Some decluttered items:

she knows that now

no more needed

she has a massive shell collection besides

a monster from the kid entertainment
on the flight to Sri Lanka

dried out

The rest filled a paper recyling bag and a waste bag.

Inviting now.

She started making invitations
to her birthday party right away.

Day 327

Clara was eagerly crocheting this week
and made herself a little pouch.

Doesn't matter that the hook broke.
Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 270: Play Thing

Looks better than it really is.
Shaky.
And not repairable.
And so not used for two years.

Thanks for the baby entertainment
and Goodbye!

Day 260-265: Carolina's Clutter

Hubby went through Carolina's toys (which were formerly Clara's)
and decided that these have to go:

Thanks toys and books
and Goodbye!

Day 259: Swimming Pool

Worn-out by sun, rain and a season outside.
And most importantly,
has a hole in the ground.

Trash.
Thanks for the water fun
and Goodbye.

Day 253-258

I went through some of Carolina's and my clothes:

Jeans and T-Shirts.
According to their degree of wornness
they will either go to the charity shop
or the old clothes' container.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 210-216: Ahoi!

Those bath toys are just collecting murky water.
Thank you for the splish-splash fun
and Ahoi!

Day 203-207: A Week of Little Decluttering Here and There

Monday:
Bike kid's seat cushioning, 6 years old, only used at the beginning
(had to go, because of soaking up rain and being hard to dry)

Tuesday:

kids' bracelet, what for?

Wednesday:
the second pair of broken shades for me this summer,
got decluttered right where they fell down,
at the store:

Thursday:
card torn apart at Mama & Baby Yoga class:

Friday:
and then the whole stack had to go
to paper recycling:

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 191: Little Boxes

These boxes are smaller then they look in the photo:

They were part of a kids shopping basket for playing
and Carolina has done her shopping properly.

Thank you and Goodbye!
Paper recycling.

Day 183-186: Hello Summer!

With day 183 starts the second half of my year of decluttering, where I want to do more deep cleaning and dig deeper into cupboards, closets, drawers and the basement.

Clara and I went through her wardrobe and found these four pieces from last summer, that are a) too small now and b) full of non-removable stains from Sri Lanka.

Maybe the old clothing collection wants to shred them.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 167: Ball Halves

Who needs half a bouncing ball made by Carolina?

Nobody, I guess.
Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 165+166: Clay Clutter

The girls' clay experiments:

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 158: Modelling Clay

From the forgotten depths of the basement:

Modelling clay
Clara used to play with
(years ago?).

Hardened and too cluttered.

Thanks for the fun
and Goodbye!

Day 157: Give some Heart

From Clara's craft clutter,
kept sticking to my shoes.

Thanks and Goodbye!

Day 153: Ist das Kunst oder kann das weg?

A heap of the girls' drawings and paintings,
found around the living room.

For them it's more about the process,
I am telling myself.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 146: Bye- bye Winter!

Back on track!
I enjoyed a week in the sun & garden
and now I feel like decluttering again:

Clara's and Carolina's worn out winter boots
and a lonesome winter glove.

Thanks for warming the girls
through the winter months,
but now it's summer
and Goodbye!

Day 137-145: Bulk

I was away teaching a yoga retreat for the weekend.
But I can make up for it, declutter-wise.

Bulk garbage,
that got collected this morning.
Some things were already decluttered things,
that transitioned in the garage
like the shoe cupboard and the bathroom cupboard
or the cloth dryer.
But there are also boards, a ladder,
two small carpets,
a kids' table and two kids' chairs,
a plastic container,
rusty garden tools
and a wheelbarrow.

I think,
I can lay back for the rest of the week
and enjoy the forecasted sunshine.
