Day 119: Fly away!

Bad news for German airline air berlin
(they reported their bad financial situation yesterday)
and bad news also for this cap:

I think it was given to the girls
on a flight to Mallorca last year or the year before.

Now it lands in the waste.
Thank you flying with us
and Goodbye!

Day 118: Sold!

The first money from decluttering:

Hubby sold the music speakers
and the tuner ...

... for 70 €.

THANK YOU
and Goodbye!

Day 117: Weekend Give-Away

... five minutes later they were gone.
Hubby's broken CD and tape player.

Thank you for the music
and Time to say Goodbye!

Day 116: Metro

It's been a week since we came back from Paris.

We don't need the used metro tickets anymore
(we actually never did).

Thank you transporting us
(especially Carolina enjoyed the rides)
and Goodbye!

Day 115: Leftovers from the Bathroom Attack

Among a lot of useful things, this stuff also hid in the cupboard.
Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 114: Out!

Falling down cupboards - we had another one of those yesterday.
This time it happened in the bathroom
and I was the lucky victim.

I thought I had my face cut in two,
but luckily it was only a little wound and bump on my eyebrow.

The cupboard was another heritage from the former tenant
in our former flat.
We never really liked it, but it was practical and there.
And it stood shakily in our new bathroom.

Out, out, out!
It will hibernate in the garage
and go to the dump soon.

Shall I thank you?
Goodbye.

Day 113: ???

... found in Clara's waste paper basket.
She said her Papa put it in there.
There are no known uses for those appliances.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 112: Puzzle

... a puzzle that misses a piece that can't be found.
No fun then.

Thank you for entertaining Clara and Carolina
and Hello paper recycling!

Day 111: Socks again

After Hubby on Day 54 I now went through my sock drawer.

knee-high socks I never wear
grey tights from my student days
single and worn-out socks
and two strange belts

Thanks and Bye!

Day 110: Cut or Go?

Easter Sunday with all its sunshine, width, family and good food
also saw me magic up a rearranging whirlwind in my studio.
Not so much to declutter though.

These misshappen pants were the first attempt
for Christmas presents in 2012 (here).

I kept them, just in case,
for cutting them up and fabric recycling projects.

Will I ever do it?

Day 109: Paris Bag

No, nothing fancy and fashionable here:

Just a simple torn plastic bag
from the supermarket opposite our hotel.

And the only thing from Paris
that needs to be decluttered.

Merci and Salut!

Day 102-108: Paris

Sometimes you just need to go on a holiday.
And so does your decluttering.
Just leave it behind
and get away from it all.

So for the last week I only decluttered one thing from home:

Carolina's sunglasses that broke
when she dropped them and the buggy ran over them.

Thank you for being there,
(that meant there was a lot of sunshine for us)
and au revoir!

Day 101: Pre-Easter Decoration Declutter

I bought a set to make paper flowerball decoration a couple of weeks ago.

It looked so easy and beautiful and I thought it would be fun making those ornaments with Clara. In reality assembling those balls was a pain and both Clara and me lost our nerves while doing it. I managed to make one flowerball in the end. And that will be the end.

Next stop: paper recycling

Thank you for showing us our patience limit
and Goodbye!

Day 100: Celebrate

Day 100!
Let's have some fun decluttering.

A chocolate memory game
Clara got for Christmas (?) from her Grandma ...

... declutters as brownies
(and paper recycling).

Thank you and
yum-yum!

Day 99: Plastic Bags

The bag board (Day 10) could need a serious revisit.

For the time being a couple of them leave the house,
my mother-in-law asked for some.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 98: Clara's Desk, Revisited

Clara's desk was one of the first things we decluttered, remember?
That was about three months ago.
The desk went through different stages of tidy- and untidyness,
up to this cluttered state right recently:

A good time to declutter it again,
with Clara at home as school is off
for the Easter holidays.

Same tried-and-tested procedure,
everything off the desk.

Clara's reaction again:
"I didn't know it was so much stuff!"

This went into the trash and recycling:

I kept some pictures (in art boxes),
like this mandala of her's:

Only twenty-five minutes later:

Fresh and inviting.

Day 97: No Smoking!

Clara asked me in which rubbish bin these go:

Bought for fun with some girlfriends.
Bubble gum, that doesn't taste good.

No, Thank you
and Goodbye!
(paper recycling and residual waste)

Day 96: Clara's Clothes

Hubby went through Clara's wardrobe this Sunday.

These pieces didn't pass the test.

And won't be passed down to Carolina.

Their fate: the old clothes collection container.
Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 95: Shabby, not Chic

These pieces of Carolina's clothes are so worn out,
they will go the old clothes collection container.

And those fancy-schmancy ones
go back to their owner.

Thank you and Goodbye1

Day 92 + 93 + 94

Yes, I am still decluttering!
The weather was just so lovely outside,
that I couldn't really muster the motivation
to go through this:

What I managed to do was
to put all the cloth diapers away
for temporary storage in the basement.

And to let go of these three pieces:

a cardigan with a strange fit
that Carolina wore once.

 very comfy pants
that Carolina wore like all the time
last year

another cardigan that goes back
to its former owner.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 91: Pyjamas

... supposedly in 86/92,
but too small and tight for Carolina from the day of purchase.

Off to the charity box!
Thank you and Goodbye!
