Day 59: Shades of Gray

Cosmetics that get replacements:

Moisturizer and powder.

My new favourite moisturizer with deep sea extracts

and a facial powder I have had for years

that fell down and broke the other day.

For the same reasons I decluttered the kids' toothpaste with fluoride:

Day 56: Self Help

Immediate declutter:

Tear open your favourite chocolate

(or carob, in my case).

Eat.

Throw away wrapping.

Day 55: Hand Barrier

I am painting quite a lot with my hands these days.

To protect my hands I found some cream in the bathroom.

That's used up now.

Day 54: Socks

Hubby went away for a couple of days for a TV training course.

When I left, he gave me those souvenir socks,

to declutter.

Day 53: Hundreds and Thousands

"Liebesperlen" - love pearls, that's what the are called in German.

When I was a child, they came in little glass bottles,

now in plastic.

The contents are also plastic to me -

mainly sugar and E-numbers.

Day 51: 14 Balloons and a strange Thing

Again from Clara's room, something I didn't know of:

mini-balloons, that I am not able to inflate

Maybe this orange thing that says water bomb on one side and blow/made in china on the other side might be of some help. I couldn't figure it out.

Day 50: Puzzled

From Clara's clutter:

I had never seen that puzzle before.

And there was actually a second mini-puzzle packed inside the box.

I have decided to let it go 

into the paper recycling.

The girls love stickers.

This sticker booklet originally belonged to Clara,

but I gave it to little Carolina 

to keep her busy during my mama & baby yoga classes.

Day 48: Pink Clutter

This week I'll peek into the girlie's clutter 

and will sneak things out.

They won't even notice.

A tape roller from Clara's room

that came with a girls' magazine.

Day 47: Sweet Necklace

I don't know, how it came into the house.

Probably via a children's birthday

or Grandma's sweet intention.

Looks cute,

but is pure nutritional rubbish,

that leaves the kitchen today.

Day 46: Stoned

Releasing two more of Clara's stones back into nature.

(found in Hubby's workroom)

Day 45: A Stone

Clara likes collecting stones and bringing them home.

 I find them in all kinds of places in the house.

I don't have a heart of stone,

but this stone leaves the house,

through the living room door

into the garden.

I think this counts 

as very natural recycling.

Back to nature.

Day 44: Notepad

I don't even remember where it came from:

It scares me.

I have never put a single note on this paper.

Paper recycling, please.

Day 43: Inspiration Package

The packaging from my latest book orders still cluttered the studio floor.

Day 42: A Lamp

When Carolina was just born I wanted a little lamp for the nights.

I used the lamp a bit in the beginning,

but soon it was just standing around,

catching dust.

... and somehow, somewhen the lampshade broke.

I think, I'll keep the bulb which is still intact.

The rest is residual waste.

Day 40: Yarn Labels

I was a very avid knitter for a while. I still knit, but not as obsessed as I used to (but that can happen again). You are usually advised to keep the labels from the yarn you have knitted with, for later reference.

But you know what? I have never checked them. When in doubt, you can wash all wooly items by hand or with the wool-program of your washing machine. And I documented my knitted things on my Ravelry page.

Day 39: The Studio

We are entering sacred space for the days to come:

The only thing I had the courage to touch today 

was this:

an empty thread spool

I have dozens of spools for sewing in all kinds of colours. 

I think, I kept this one for Carolina to play with.

She prefers the spools with real thread still on them.

More fun.

Day 38: Decluttered Bathroom

The bathroom is fine for the moment.

 As I went through it to find something more to declutter, 

the only thing I found was this:

A forgotten cap, appears to have belonged to a suncreen bottle.

Day 37: Plastic Duck

Last month Carolina went to the dentist for her first time.

As a present for her endurance she got this plastic duck.

It's plastic, not rubber.

We already have five rubberducks.

I should have left pre-cycled the duck right at the dentist's,

we have no use for it.
