Day 62: Yoga and Medicine

In November 2010 I taught my first yoga weekend retreat.
The day before the retreat I lost my voice
and on the day it started
I came down with a fever
and an all-over feeling of disease.
Cancelling the retreat was not an option.

I usually don't take medication
(not even homoepathic),
but on that November day
I sent Hubby off to the pharmacy:
"Get me the strongest thing that they have,
the main thing is that it works!"

I taught that weekend in a kind of haze,
but I taught it.
Under a continous flow of Aspirin Complex.
My body suffered for the rest of November
with a delayed flu.

That last sachet I dicovered
in the bathroom the other day.
Expired 6/2012.

Thank you for supporting my career
and Goodbye!
