Day 342-348: Diapers

As we practiced Elimaination Communication with Carolina and also used cloth diapers, we only used disposable diapers for travelling on planes. We never got through package number two in Carolina's first two years. So this week a nearly full pack of diapers was given to a toddler you can still use it.

Thanks for making travelling easy
and Goodbye!

Day 269: Travel Companion

A belt bag with a broken zipper.
Either mine or Hubby's,
don't remember.
Has been to some
exotic travel destinations.

It's the end of travelling with us now.
Thanks for keeping it safe
and Goodbye!

Day 217-252

Long, long holidays, five weeks far, far away.
I didn't waste a single thought on home, house and decluttering,
while I carried 12kg of posessions on my back.
This got decluttered when I came back home:

a single disintigrated support stocking for long distance flights
(the other stocking looks perfectly fine)

cut-into plastic plate from our loved
3kg-of-heavenly-ripe-mango-breakfasts

worn-out smelly-tropical shoes
that walked across Thailand

Day 183-186: Hello Summer!

With day 183 starts the second half of my year of decluttering, where I want to do more deep cleaning and dig deeper into cupboards, closets, drawers and the basement.

Clara and I went through her wardrobe and found these four pieces from last summer, that are a) too small now and b) full of non-removable stains from Sri Lanka.

Maybe the old clothing collection wants to shred them.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 116: Metro

It's been a week since we came back from Paris.

We don't need the used metro tickets anymore
(we actually never did).

Thank you transporting us
(especially Carolina enjoyed the rides)
and Goodbye!

Day 109: Paris Bag

No, nothing fancy and fashionable here:

Just a simple torn plastic bag
from the supermarket opposite our hotel.

And the only thing from Paris
that needs to be decluttered.

Merci and Salut!

Day 102-108: Paris

Sometimes you just need to go on a holiday.
And so does your decluttering.
Just leave it behind
and get away from it all.

So for the last week I only decluttered one thing from home:

Carolina's sunglasses that broke
when she dropped them and the buggy ran over them.

Thank you for being there,
(that meant there was a lot of sunshine for us)
and au revoir!

Day 87: Ek Ong Kar

... means God and me are one.

It is a symbol similar to the Om sign
and a main mantra of the Sikh religion
and Kundalini Yoga.

I bought this Ek Ong Kar symbol in Amritsar in 2009,
on a visit to the Golden Temple,
after completing my Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh.

It stood on my altar ever since
and fell down a couple of weeks ago.
And even though it feels blasphemous
to declutter this piece,
I know in my heart
that God and me are still one.

Thank you for enriching my life,
living nearer to my true self
and Goodbye!
(maybe rebirth?)

Day 61: Mallorquin Shortbread

No Sunday's cake today ...

... but this last leftover from our Mallorca vacation in the fall.
Those little shortbreads called Polvorón
come in a variety of flavours
like cocoa, coconut or almond.
Just this olive-flavoured one nobody wanted.

Thank you last holiday-reminder
and Goodbye!

Day 22: Hand Luggage

This bags stands in a corner beside my desk. It is mostly used as the bag for hand luggage on flights, you wouldn't imagine how much stuff fits into it (extra clothes for Carolina and me, books, snacks, tissues, pens, more books, bottles, a potty and much more travelling paraphernalia). After coming home after a trip I usually feel a bit reluctant to unpack my cases, just for the lingering vacation feeling... But the last flight was in October, coming back from Mallorca and over the last months I had forgotten the last remnants in the bag.

The stuff on the right side can stay.

What can go: free silly magazine from the flight, the rest of the children's surprise bag from the plane, a mini hello kitty christmas book, plastic ice cream spoons, luggage tags, used wipe package.

 Thanks for entertaining and
Have a good flight!
