Day 148-151:

Those IKEA bowls don't have a long round life.
I don't know how this happens,
it doesn't happen to other dishes.
I have decluttered the other chipped bowls twice already.
(here)

Now the last four ones have to leave.

Thanks anyway
and Goodbye!
(and talk to the IKEA quality department)

Day 147: Bye-bye Winter Jacket!

I bought this jacket
when I was pregnant with Carolina three years ago.

I wore it through the next two winters,
even still on some of this May's evenings.

But now it is time to say Goodbye.
According to its brand
I could say:
" Mais il est où le soleil?"

Time for summer.
And thank you for your true warming service.
Next stop: clothing drive.

Day 146: Bye- bye Winter!

Back on track!
I enjoyed a week in the sun & garden
and now I feel like decluttering again:

Clara's and Carolina's worn out winter boots
and a lonesome winter glove.

Thanks for warming the girls
through the winter months,
but now it's summer
and Goodbye!

Day 137-145: Bulk

I was away teaching a yoga retreat for the weekend.
But I can make up for it, declutter-wise.

Bulk garbage,
that got collected this morning.
Some things were already decluttered things,
that transitioned in the garage
like the shoe cupboard and the bathroom cupboard
or the cloth dryer.
But there are also boards, a ladder,
two small carpets,
a kids' table and two kids' chairs,
a plastic container,
rusty garden tools
and a wheelbarrow.

I think,
I can lay back for the rest of the week
and enjoy the forecasted sunshine.

Day 136: Clothes Dryer

... totally battered.

Thanks for doing your job all those years
and Goodbye!

Day 135: Clara's Knitting

Clara asked for some wool the other day.
One skein of yarn became this:

A long snake of finger knitting.

As I think that it was more about the process
than the result for her,
I am releasing the snake
(even though it hurts my crafty mama heart a bit).

Thanks for entertaining Clara,
training her fine motor skills
and Goodbye!

Day 134: Yarn Labels II

I found another stack of them hidden in a box in the studio:
(stack one here)

Thank you
and hello paper recycling!

Day 133: Bib

... this came as a free give-away at a drugstore,
Hubby and Carolina brought it home
a while ago.

I declutter it.
No use for bad quality.
Goodbye!

Day 132: Moving Boxes

... three damaged moving boxes (used two years ago)
go right into the paper recycling today.

Thanks for moving with us
and move on!

Day 128-131: Needles

Recovering from a virus and a large family gathering
threw me a little back on decluttering,
but I am catching up.

I went through my knitting needles collection and let go of these for two reasons:
the wooden circular needle is broken and the others are just very cheap ones that came with discounter wool. Their tips are so sharp and badly manufactured that they make knitting painful. I have never used them.

Thanks anyway and Goodbye!

Day 127: Bye-Bye Winter

... my worn-out winter boots,
that I wore constantly last winter.

Thank you for warming me
and walking with me
and Goodbye!

Day 125: Reflect it!

... a reflector from my bike, that broke when my bike fell to the ground.

Thanks for reflecting the light at night
and Goodbye!

Day 124: Polite Decluttering

no photo
because I decluttered something
that was a gift from someone

what did I read?
a gift fulfills its function
in the moment it is given.

thank you and goodbye!

Day 123: Tattered

... and way too elastic,
hair ties.

Thank you and Goodbye!

Day 121: Two Out, Two In

A broken can opener and a shattered lamp from Hubby's room:

A trip to IKEA fixed that
(to actually buy a new bathroom shelf).

Thank you and Goodbye!
